Kundalini Flow Yoga is a modern, holistic yoga style combing elements from the tradition of Kundalini Yoga with contemporary mindful movement. In a holistic session you will strengthen & stretch your body, chant mantras, breath deeply and meditate. Beyond physical asana yoga postures, the power of breath and the resonance of mantras are at the heart of this transformative, holistic yoga style. The techniques guide you toward inner wholeness and empower you to cultivate an embodied spirituality while building a strong, healthy body.

Integrating my comprehensive experiences from Kundalini and Vinyasa Yoga, I have developed Kundalini Flow Yoga as my unique teaching style. The classes are inspired by my quest for a transformative yoga experience that is both physical and spiritual, profound and joyful, calming and liberating.

Structure of a full 90 minute Kundalini Flow Yoga class

  • To arrive on the mat and to consciously tune in, we chant:

    ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO
    I connect to universal consciousness permeating all of creation. I connect to the inner wholeness of my true nature.

    The Mangala Charan Mantra invokes protection. It is a vibration of humility and recognition that there is a life source greater than us.

  • We begin moving our bodies with slow, gentle movements & stretches.
    We use breathwork to subtly bring prana - life force - into our being.

  • A traditional Kundalini Kriya is a fixed sequence of asanas - yoga postures - with pranayama - breathwork - and meditation, dedicated to a specific theme.
    In Kundalini Flow Yoga we open up the traditionally often rigid practices. We blend the Kriyas with slow flowing & stretching movements from Vinyasa Yoga to create a well-balanced, full-body experience.

  • Deep relaxation — To consciously relax our bodies is an essential asana. In our fast paced lives, this is equally challenging and needed.

  • Kundalini Yoga is an infinite source of active meditation practices. They often involve chanting mantras, breathwork and mudras - hand gestures.
